June 22-23, 2026 - REGISTER
Registration Fee: $49
OPAC’s Live Production Workshop gives students entering 9th through 12th grades in Fall 2026 an opportunity to learn the basics of live event production in a real working theatre environment.
Held over two days, participants will work alongside OPAC’s Production Department staff to explore lighting, sound, video, staging, and backstage operations while helping prepare for the Oxford Community Chorus Summer Concert featuring a 90-voice choir and orchestra. Students will assist with the live dress rehearsal on Monday and help support the public performance at 7:00 PM on Tuesday.
This workshop is a great introduction for students interested in technical theatre, live events, music production, or behind-the-scenes work in the performing arts.
Participants will receive a workshop t-shirt, certificate of completion, dinner on Monday and Tuesday, and special recognition during the Tuesday evening concert.

Can I attend the camp with my student?
-
We want each camper to be immersed in the experiences and lessons throughout the week. To that end, parents & guardians are not permitted to attend camp sessions. Parents, friends, and family members are invited to attend the free performances on Friday.
-
May students just register for one or two days of the camp?
-
Due to the performance-based nature of the camp, students are required to participate the entire week.
-
What is the check-out procedure after the final performance on Friday?
-
All campers will need to change out of their costumes and turn in each costume piece to the show director. Because of the large number of campers and costume pieces, it will take approximately 20 to 40 minutes once the show has ended before you may sign your child out.
-
What is included with the Registration?
