Ricky Skaggs was an established county superstar when he first performed on the OPAC stage in 2014. He returns to that same stage a decade later with the status of “legend” firmly embedded in a musical resume highlighted by 15 Grammy Awards. Skaggs is a member of almost every Hall of Fame, including the Country Music Hall of Fame, and has spent his career reinforcing the world of bluegrass by honoring its heritage and broadening its horizons. He has collaborated with an eclectic group of artists including Barry Gibb, the Boston Pops Orchestra, and the rock band, Phish. Skaggs makes a return trip to Oxford with his band, Kentucky Thunder, an all-star group of six musicians who have individually played professionally with outstanding artists in all genres of music. An evening with Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder promises audiences a classic night of bluegrass and country!
